Hello dear Atlantic sailing community,

My name is Lucas and I’m currently studying biology. I’m very passionate about the world and everything that happens in it. At the end of this year, I would love to do an internship in the field of marine biology, ideally in the Caribbean or South America.

I would love to take the opportunity to travel by sailboat across the Atlantic, taking my time and enjoying the journey — ideally with kind people and good company. I bring a wide range of skills and am eager to prepare myself for whatever tasks might be needed on board. I’ve already spent some time sailing and, if necessary, I’m open to getting a sailing license before the trip. That’s one of the reasons I’m posting this now. Starting in October, I’m available to join a departure from anywhere.

I’m very flexible in terms of both timing and duties. I usually bring a good mood with me and would describe myself as a quick learner and very adaptable — which is why I feel confident about crossing the Atlantic. Of course, I have a lot of respect for the journey, but with the right crew, I feel safe and ready. If there’s a research vessel looking for crew, that would be even more amazing — but any kind of passage would be fantastic!
